spring in texas

well, it's still officially "winter" in texas, but it's already in the 70's consistently, and for the last few days has been in the 80's! beautiful, but apparently spring is the humid season here, because it's like late summer in indiana, you go out and you are immediately covered in a fine film of clammy wetness. sweating doesn't help either. I just say my thank-you's for the wind, which is constant and often strong enough to blow my truck from one lane of the interstate to another without my consent! that said, it's still big sky country here, which is one of the things i most miss about colorado.
on to library stuff: i did a very bad thing the other day. i lost my temper with a patron and raised my voice at her. granted, she is the most stubborn person i have ever met, and she expects the rules to be broken for her, and that day she was being more stubborn and rude than usual, but i still should have kept my voice down. that does tend to be my permanent failing...i raise my voice when i want to make a point, and I suck at "fighting" so i avoid it at nearly all costs. she just tripped my trigger that day. my bad for letting her get under my skin.
on another note, it looks like we're selling my truck, and i'm going to go test drive a couple of cars tomorrow, starting with the PT cruiser. i've loved the look of those things since they first came out! we'll see! Patrick is on spring break until the 17th, and the new daycare we moved him to is very cool, lots of awesome stuff for the kids to do, it's like "kid heaven" according to Patrick! well, i shouldn't be doing this at work so i better go!
