I know it's a horrible photo, but none of the others looked any better, and I don't have my photo-fixer programs re-installed yet. I'll come back and fix this post as soon as I get them reinstalled, I promise. the bear is going to be larger than the baby for the first few months! The knitting in pink to the side of the bear is a cute little cabled sweater for the bear, then for the baby when she can wear it.

I've also been working (though not this week) on a cute little baby dress in the softest alpaca, in a light heathery purple, very pretty though I'm sure the colors won't come out right:

It's from the minnowknits book, and is so far quite an easy pattern. it didn't take any time at all to knit up the points, then to knit them together.
I've also been working on a doll from a pattern by Antoinette Cely, called Dolly Hugs. It's a pattern made for charity give-aways. I've not yet decided where it will go when it's done. Nor for that matter have I decided what color hair it will have. Around here we have more hispanics than anything else, so if I give it to the fire or police programs I should tea-dye it and give it black hair. Any comments anyone? Here's the doll, laying on the baby dress so she doesn't fade away into the couch...they are made so that when the kids hug the dolls, the dolls hug the kids too. very ingenious!

Oh, and I finally got my spinning wheel fixed! I had lost my flyer and most of my spinnable fiber when we moved, it's all in the same box, which I can't find, still in the storage unit I'm sure. Eventually we will get there. Anyhow, here's the wheel with the new flyer and some very pretty green wool I got in the spring fling exchange.
GRRRR! Never mind, the picture is too dark! I'll post it later after I get my photo program fixed. Darnit!
Well, that's most of what I've been doing this week, (the baby dress hasn't seen any work this week, but I thought I'd show it while I was taking pictures) along with napping a lot. Now have to get ready to go to the allergist. It will be the longest drive I have made since surgery. It will let me know if I'm ready to go back to work tomorrow.
Everyone have a good Beltaine!
