Birthday happiness

My birthday was yesterday, and even though i had to work, i knew i had that card from my Dad with $$$$ in it! It wasn't a huge amount, but it was enough to pay for the little piece of jewelry I bought for myself, a small raven with celtic knotwork all in it, and a pentacle very small in the center of it, it's for a necklace, and I love it. I had seen it online a few days before, then on friday i happened to be over by The Enchanted Forest (a local pagan store) and saw it there!!!!! They didn't have the essential oil I wanted, but that's ok, I got my raven! My hubby bought me some books from Amazon too, can you imagine he didn't know his wife had a wishlist posted? sometimes he's a bit slow on the uptake... anyhow, now he knows, and he got me two books that I've really been wanting, Big Girl Knits and one about how to carve wood spirits and greenmen. I don't buy just every book on knitting anymore, but this one just has so many patterns I wanted to make, and that I think will actually look good on me! I just couldn't pass it up. I had it home from my library and kept renewing it, I think i had it for almost 8 weeks! Bad Librarian, No Books! Anyway, what actually got me on here to post this morning is that as i was blogsurfing i ran across another quiz, this time a knitting one. I'm sure that it's been around for a while, but I had not taken the time to take it. This morning, however, I did. It was pretty fun. So, here's the result of this mornings quiz:

What Kind of Knitter Are You?

You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting and do it all the time. While finishing a piece is the plan, you still love the process, and can't imagine a day going by without giving some time to your yarn. Packing for vacation involves leaving ample space for the stash and supplies. It can be hard to tell where the yarn ends and you begin.http://marniemaclean.com

So, the birthday stash money is going to get me some schaeffer? yarn, which I saw beckoning temptingly to me the other day at the yarn store. the colors are just so amazing....but I want something better to spin than the garbage fleece i have...it's just becoming depressing.
well, here's to trying to choose between yarn and roving!
