I've also been working on getting my book bound so I can use it. I took the CD to work and printed it out single sided so that I can keep notes on the backs of the pages. I bought bookboard and made hard covers for it, just need to get the false signatures sewn so that I can put the leather spine on it and begin to use it at last.I know I took some photos of that but can't seem to find them at the moment, they are buried in my computer somewhere. I will post them when i get a chance. I have also recently purchased and covered a wooden box, which I do have photos of!

I still have to figure out what I'm going to line it with, but it's covered at least. I used the same glue as for the book cover, a pvc glue (Norbond) used for bookbinding and repair. It's good stuff.I have also done several dyeing projects, and am working on embroidering one of them. Well, I know I took photos of those things also, and again, of course, can't find them! Darn it! I'll take new ones if i have to, I guess. Anyway, I dyed mostly purple fabrics, tie dyed one, batik'ed another and am embroidering on it, dyed one a solid color, and dyed some roving while I was at it. Again, I'll post those pics as soon as I find them! I'm home for half the day today since my son had an abscess in one of his teeth, and the doc had to pull it. He's playing quietly while i get caught up on computer stuff, and get some more applications put in for jobs in the south Louisville area.
On Sunday I got to go to Kid n' Ewe fiber festival in Boerne Texas, west of San Antonio. two of my friends went with me, and boy oh boy did we have fun! left Saturday afternoon from DFW and stayed the night in New Braunfels, unfortunately for the price we had to pay for our room at the Motel 6 it was the same weekend they were having their Wurst Fest (as in Bratwurst). It's a German town, so the fest is a big deal. So the hotel cost us $100.00! Thank goddess there were three of us sharing the costs! I took the class for learning how to dye self-striping yarns and it was a lot of fun. I will post those pics as soon as I get the dyeing done. Hey, maybe I will do that today....(evil grin!) Anyway, while i was at Kid n Ewe I got some very cool purple roving that's a merino/tussah silk blend and so soft. I also came home with a 2 oz bag of beautiful topaz colored bamboo fiber, and can't wait to spin it up. it's so deep a topaz color that it glows. Well, I better get some lunch in my boy and myself. More soon i promise!
